Rotating Hips with Leg Lift

Rotating Hips with Leg Lift challenges the spine stability in a side position, the hip joint stability of one leg and strengthening the inner leg of the other leg. The challenge is to roll in piece, like a log to one side and move the pelvis around the leg (femur) bone. The supporting leg remains in its position and the pelvic rotates around it. The temptation or habit is to move the knee in the direction of the body rolling. By maintaining the femur position, you are strengthening the deep rotator muscles from pelvis on leg rather then the more common movement, leg on pelvis. Perform 20 repetitions of the leg lift if you can maintain good form in this side position.
